As part of Tempo Scan devotions to help the underprivileged members of the society and to assemble the management of its various corporate social responsibility programs (“CSR”) under one coordinated organization, Tempo Scan formed its CSR Center in 2011 which is mandated to manage its major CSR undertakings. Such decision is aimed to improve the coordination and integration of those undertakings.

Among the major CSR undertakings are Program Social Indonesia Tersenyum (“PSIT”) which  provides medical assistances in the form of invasive surgical procedure for children from underprivileged families in Indonesia who suffer from congenital abnormalities such as congenital heart disease, cleft lip or no mouth palate, gastrointestinal disorders, congenital hydrocephalus, congenital hernia, congenital cataracts, syndactili and others.

Since its inception in 2007, PSIT has helped approximately 723 children from underprivileged families coming from 15 provinces in Indonesia, out of which 94% from them were below 12 years old. Moreover, this program has established cooperation with various government and private institutions throughout Indonesia.

Another major CSR undertaking conducted by Tempo Scan was “bodrex Reaksi Cepat” (bRC). This program had provided community healthcare assistances for underprivileged society suffering from natural disasters or those who do not have optimal access to healthcare. This program was established by Tempo Scan as a manifestation of gratitude from bodrex, a headache medication product that has been accepted and earned more than 40 years of people trust and achieved awards from various institutions in Indonesia.

PT Eres Revco, as one of the subsidiaries of Tempo Scan and a license holder of Revlon and Ultima II for more than 35 years in Indonesia, conducted a program named “Kiss for Life” that provides medical assistances dedicated for all Indonesian women. Since the start of this program in 2012, all donations collected have been donated to Indonesian women with lupus that is channeled through Yayasan Lupus Indonesia.

PT Pulau Mahoni, one of the subsidiaries of Tempo Scan which is the license holder of the Estee Lauder Company that includes Estee Lauder’s and Clinique’s Brands, held an annual campaign for breast cancer awareness program (Pink Ribbon) in collaboration with the hospitals, the media and Department Stores. Meanwhile, MAC’s Brand has a program named “Viva Glam” in which each specific product’ sales were donated entirely to the foundations that help people with HIV/Aids.

Tempo Scan’s CSR program was not conducted only for external stakeholders, but also for internal stakeholders. The program named “Tempo Life Savers” provides medical aids for healthcare or medical treatments for serious illnesses namely kidney failure, stroke, heart attack, cancer, etc that were addressed to employees and their family members who were not covered by any medical insurances. These family members include immediate family or blood relatives, e.g. spouse, children, parents, and siblings of the employees.
